APPOINTMENTS
Making an appointment with
Dr. Antenucci is easy: just call us.
We’re looking forward to talking with you about your dog or cat, their health, and how we can help. If you call outside our business hours or while we’re with a patient, we may not pick up. Please leave a detailed message — we’ll get right back to you.
Call us: (612) 401-4883
Hours: Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but if your dog or cat is critically ill, we will always do our best to provide flexible, timely care.
We are closed: Weekends, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Need to cancel an appointment? No problem, just let us know. We’d prefer 24 hours notice, but we also understand that’s not always possible.
Our service area
Antenucci’s Magnificent Traveling Veterinary primarily serves cats and dogs in the Minneapolis metro area. That said, we’re also happy to make house calls in the Minneapolis suburbs and parts of St. Paul — have wheels, will travel, so give us a call.
Our payment policy
Like most veterinary clinics, we bill for individual services. Depending on the nature of our visit with your pet, we can generally provide an estimate of fees when you set up your appointment. In addition, our base fee for making a house call is $75.
Payment for all of our services is due at the end of our visit. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit and debit cards. We also work with pet health insurance.
Because you cared so very much, our old pal, Mac the Dog, is bouncing around, scaring the mailman, like the old days!

How to prepare for
Dr. Antenucci’s visit
Forward us your pet’s medical information. Prior to your pet’s first visit from Dr. Antenucci, please:
Fill out our New Patient Info Form
Email your pet’s veterinary records to dave@magnificent.vet
Let us know if your pet requires sedation. If your pet generally requires sedation to be comfortable during a vet visit, please let us know prior to your appointment so we can help minimize stress for you and your pet.
Have all your pet’s medications, supplements, and food ready for review. We prefer to see the actual bottles, tubes, and bags. Why? We want as much information about your pet as possible, so we can give them truly magnificent care.
Collect a stool sample. We check stool samples twice each year. Please seal up a small amount of your pet’s poop in a disposable container or Ziplock bag — fresh, not frozen, please and thank you.
Tell your pet to hold it, if possible. For a wellness exam, we may require a urine sample, as well. If so, we’ll ask that your pet not be allowed to urinate for 2 hours prior to the visit.
Avoid snacking. We rely on treats to hold your pet’s attention and make visits with us a positive (and tasty!) experience — it always helps if they’re a little bit hungry.
Find a safe, comfortable space for us to examine your pet. We want your pet to be comfortable, and we want to be able to find them. If your pet is a cat, please confine them to a space like the bathroom prior to our visit — basements and bedrooms are full of secret forts.
A few frequently asked questions
How long does a house call take?
It depends on the reason for our house call, of course, but most visits take 30 to 45 minutes.
Will the appointment be in a van, a mobile home, or what?
Dr. Antenucci will examine your pet in your house, backyard, or wherever they feel the most safe and comfortable. He drives a Honda CRV, by the way.
How many people are coming over?
Dr. Antenucci generally travels with his trusted veterinary technician, but he may also show up on his own, depending on the nature of the visit with your pet.
Will I have to hold my pet during procedures?
No, Dr. Antenucci and/or the veterinary technician will hold your pet during procedures. That said, you can be present for any and all procedures, especially if it helps your pet stay calm and comfortable.
